We are celebrating "A Decade of Fostering Entrepreneurship" at Headstart Delhi and Here's your best chance to find out if you are investment ready.

Kickstart is an initiative by Headstart Network Foundation where startups pitch their ideas to a panel of judges and battle it out to convince the jury of their fundability quotient. After inviting applications, the startups are shortlisted after careful scrutiny by Headstart.

On the day of the event, the startups battle it out in a fiery pitch session in front of a jury. The day ends with networking and the announcement of the winners.  

What we are looking for in the Top 10 Startups:

Arpit Agarwal has been actively involved with the promotion of startups since 2006, his first brush with it being at the first BarCamp in Bangalore. Born and Bought up in the Chawls of Mumbai and studying in a small local school called Sardarni Pratap Singh Janta Vidyalaya , Rahul Leveraged his early love for reading and sheer luck in finding a Scrap Dealer , who gave him access to Fortune , Time , Newsweek magazines , into a successful multifaceted career which has been a rollercoaster ride so far .

Starting as a Ward boy in the night shift in a hospital in Mulund, to door sales, he has the singular distinction of being selected and then getting Expelled from the first formal entrepreneurship programme of India in 1994, for asking too many uncomfortable questions and being a troublemaker.

Starting his first venture in 1994 in the advertising space, he co-founded Asia's first interactive music channel in 1998 called Channel Oxygen in Mumbai.

It went from zero to 2 crores revenue and came back to zero within 3 years and then moving to Delhi.

Starting from scratch again he was a senior manager with Ansal Plaza for a place called District centre Janakpuri, where he built an Amphitheatre with DDA.

Having cracked a Crazy Sales deal with Radio Mirchi, he got the fastest promotion in Ansals history, moving from sr. manager to Vice President.

Having worked for various Retail Real Estate companies including DLF, Rahul Co-founded www.fashionandyou.com in 2009. It became the first luxury e-commerce company to Raise $ 8 million from Sequoia Capital, then $ 40 Million and then $ 128 Million.

In 2013 he set up www.indianroots.com with NDTV with a seed capital of Rs.84 lakhs which became an $ 85 Million company in 2 years.

An entrepreneur at heart, Sandro Stephen started his career as a sales executive in 2005. Having worked with brands like Max New York Life Insurance, Airtel and Petersons Travel Services, Stephen was always keen to explore his entrepreneurial side, in a quest to build something credible. It was then that he started on his own startup journey by establishing Dossier placement, an HR/recruitment company serving global clients. Lack of funds forced Stephen to shut his startup back then but he always had his heart in the startup world. It was then in 2013 that Stephen joined Indian Angel Network, India’s first and World’s largest network of angel investors known to be supporting and mentoring new businesses. At present, Stephen is the Regional Head of North India operations for IAN.
In less than a year at IAN, he initiated and started the Hyderabad Chapter for the network and helped grow its member base in the city from just 7 members to up to 30 odd members.
Stephen primarily looks at sourcing and evaluating deal for fundraising, building relations with existing and new potential investors and building partnership with Startup ecosystem enablers across India such as IIT’s and IIM’s, TiE, Nasscom, NEN and VC Circle to name a few. He has successfully sourced many startups including Gadgewood, SP Robotics, SmartVizx, DesignBid, Squareplums, Peebuddy, Night Stay, Wedmegood and many others in which IAN has invested in and have got successful exits in few.
Today, Stephen not only source deals for the network, but is actively involved in mentoring young entrepreneurs on how to pitch to investors and helps them in developing their business ideas at a much early stage.

Amit is a pro networker and strategist who believes in the mantra of doing and giving back to society. He works closely with relevant government and private agencies working in the space of entrepreneurship in India in supporting their startup-related initiatives. He is also a TEDx Speaker and has been strategically involved with some of the renowned Startup reality TV shows in India.

The objective behind starting ID8 is to create a handholding and soft landing mechanism for foreign companies for connecting them with the extended startup ecosystem in India.

Having started his career in sales, Amit has a got quite a knack at connecting the dots for different organisations, their target audience and possible revenue channels. He uses this skill for helping fellow entrepreneurs in his network by making the right connections and business insights.
