MIT India, in collaboration with Headstart, SPI Edge and FN+, presents Co-creATe'20, a 3 day workshop on Assistive Technology on January 10-12, in Chennai. Co-creATe'20 is an immersive three-day, cross-disciplinary workshop where participants will collaborate with people who are differently abled (visually, auditory, physical, intellectual, etc.) to identify ways in which technology can improve their daily lives.
Participants with a vision to make an impact using technology are eligible to apply. This workshop is a platform to educate, empathise and co-create innovative technological solutions to assist our fellow brother and sisters who experience the world differently.
This workshop will train students/participants in the Humanistic Co-design Process and prepare them to apply their technical skills in collaboration with people who are differently abled to produce Assistive Technology.(http://www.hc-initiative.org/assistive-technology.html)
Participants will learn about various disabilities and collaborate with MIT students on projects designed with differently abled persons living in Chennai, India.
This year's workshop is led by Dr. Kyle Keane, Lecturer and Research Scientist at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the staff adviser for MIT's assistive technology hackathon!
