Prof. Jagdeep S. Chhokar


founder member of Association for Democratic Reforms.


Jagdeep S. Chhokar has been a professor, manager, and engineer. He was professor, Dean, and Director In-charge at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. He is a founder member of Association for Democratic Reforms, and founding Chairperson of Aajeevika Bureau. He is now a concerned citizen, a lawyer, and a birdwatcher.

Actively involved in cross-cultural research for the last few years, he is a Charter Member of the GLOBE Network of Cross Cultural Scholars set up in 1994 as part of the Global Leadership and Organizational Behavior Effectiveness Research Program (GLOBE), and is a member of the GLOBE Coordination Team. He is the lead editor of a volume titled Culture and Leadership across the world: The GLOBE book of in-depth studies of 25 societies published by Lawrence Erlbaum Associates (USA) in 2007, comprising chapters on the societal culture and leadership of these countries, written by researchers in these countries who participated in the GLOBE Research Programme.This book has been awarded the ( This award is given every year by the 2008 Ursula Gielen Global Psychology Book Award by the International Psychology Division (52) of the American Psychological Association to the authors of the book that makes the most significant contribution to psychology as a global disciplline.

Sumita Ghose


Founder and Managing Director at Rangsutra,


Sumita Ghose is the founder and managing director of Rangsutra, a social enterprise
which works for socio economic development in rural India by engaging both: the
community and the market.
Rangsutra is owned by over two thousand artisans- most of whom are rural women.
Rangsutra provides design, marketing, technical and organizational support needed to
make crafts and allied rural industries into viable enterprises, so that they provide
regular village based employment to rural artisans.
Prior to setting up Rangsutra in 2006, Sumita lived and worked in different parts of rural
India for over 10 years working with rural communities for social change and economic
development. She is on the Board of several Development and Social Work
Sumita has a Masters degree in Economics and in Conflict Resolution. She is a
recipient of several fellowships and awards, the latest being the Nari Shakti Puraskar,
awarded by the President of India, on 8 th March 2016.

Neha Upadhyay


Founder & CEO at Guna Organics


Neha Upadhyay is an organic macrobiotic coach in New Delhi. She graduated from King’s college London and worked in the education sector in the U.K. , her focus was with children suffering from Juvenile diabetes, Autism , ADHD and other neuro motor problems. She observed their lifestyle , was reluctant in treating them with western medication. She decided to recieve trainings from Daylesford organic cookery school , Wholefood harmony and Navdanya in Organics & Macrobiotics which have proven to be alternative healing practises.

Upon her return to India , she founded GUNA whose vision is to empower women through organic macrobiotic food and ecological agriculture based activities that secure her position in society where she becomes a role model for the future generations.

she has been awarded ” Social Impact award in India 2017? by the British council.

Recently , Guna and her work was awarded with a prize of 2.5 lakh rupees and Entrepreneur excellence award by Department of science and technology , Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi and WEE foundation for contribution in social entrepreneurship and women entrepreneurship.

She is well recognised by the media and featured in Economic Times , Time out (New York) and CNBC Young Turks.

She and Guna are regular participants of Women of India festival for organic products organised in New Delhi by the Ministry of women and child development.

She has been awarded full scholarship by Govt. of Sweden for the Swedish Institute of management programme 2017 for the course Responsible leadership for ethical businesses.

With a strong commitment to environmental sustainability , she envisions an inclusive , equitable and healthy society where men and women support each other in every aspect of life and enjoy their right to realise their full potential.
